If you’ve ever been told you’re a clod, then this article is for you!  Don’t worry friend!  This article is made just for you.

Everyone has a clue that you are expected to bring a little something something to a kickin party, don’t you?  If you’re like me, you didn’t even think of an offering until you arrive at the party.  What went wrong?

Please don’t think of manners as a law to go against.  Politeness and consideration go a long way to make a host feel good.  The most prestigious, and most showoff way to arrive, is with a well thought out offering.  Some people like to bring alcohol, but if things get out of control, you wouldn’t want to be the person that broke the monkey’s back. Another way to go would be to bring some high end, gourmet coffee, preferably Fair Trade organic coffee.  Making an exotic fruit drink from locally grown produce is always a great!  If you’re still in considering finding the perfect drink gift, you may want to consider fruit teas.  They are a sure crowd pleaser, with little to boohoo about.  Low or no caffeine, they can fit into every meal and be blended with regular teas to make delicious flavored iced tea without adding calories.  Currently I’m on a raspberry tea kick.

Now that we’ve covered drinks, lets move onto solids.  If you would rather bring something to enjoy as a group, rice crackers and hummus or chips and salsa are going to be enjoyed by everyone.  Gluten-free, and egg free, there is almost no one that can’t partake in this delicious snack.  Don’t just bring everything in a sack.  Think artistic presentation!  You can get a colorful, plastic tray, for very little money.  It will make all the difference in the world.  Keep your eye out for deals on serving dishes at stores and even yard sales.  Enclose a card with a well thought out “thank you for the party”.

If you don’t want to give food or drink you may want to consider bringing flowers, a gift basket, or a potted plant.  It is always best to avoid hard alcohol, pictures of yourselves (unless you are attending a family event), and work related items.  Finally, don’t forget to enclose your card!  You do want credit for your fabulous gift, don’t you?

Mayber you’re still finding it difficult to think of a gift, then go check out the coffee gifts from Nectar of Life Coffee.  Nectar of Life is my favorite coffee roaster and they have the best  Fair Trade coffee.
