Most people do not set out to buy a birthday present at the last minute, but for one reason or another, it happens. With time limited, maybe you have just an hour or two to come up with something, what are your options? If you need to buy a birthday present for a woman then buying a nice bouquet of flowers is definitely acceptable. Few women are unhappy to receive flowers on any occasion. They are not really suitable for men, but you could opt for a cool house plant instead, which you would just about get away with. If you are not sure what to choose, then ask the florist to make a recommendation to you. Alternatively, if you order them online, you should be able to choose from a range of special birthday bouquets. A cake is another good option, as everyone likes cake. You can pick one up from the bakery, or make it yourself for the personal touch. If you are not sure of what flavor to go for, it is often best to go with the most popular ones - strawberry and chocolate. Chocolates or candies are a possibility, but if you do decide to buy them then make sure that you spend extra to get some really special ones. If you just buy standard ones from a supermarket then it will clear that you have put no thought or effort into the birthday present at all. Hand-made ones are best, especially if they are ones which are a mixture of their favorites. Another option, and this is really your only choice if you have forgotten about getting a birthday present until less than 30 minutes before you are meeting the person, is to take them out somewhere. Take them where? Well, a nice restaurant, to the theater or to a sports game are all good ideas. It being their birthday, they will probably already have plans for that evening, so you will to arrange it for some time during the following week. Do not let much more than a week pass before taking them out because then the moment will have passed. At least one of the ideas talked about will be suitable for everyone, so keep them in mind as no doubt you will forget someone’s birthday again. Of course, making a list of your friend’s and family member’s birthdays and buying presents in advance will save you a lot of hassle and headaches. It pays to be organized!
