Most men are always getting jewelleries for their partners in Valentines or Anniversaries, why is that?? In truth us men are pretty bad at buying gifts, we are normally late or do everything last minute and end up always buying diamond jewelleries or silver jewellery for someone they love. I am not saying this is bad. All I am saying do some research on what her likes are, get something unique and unpredictable so that she will give you the biggest hug ever, surprise her. What I mean by this is get her something she is not expecting.

I have made the mistake of buying something really late and unfortunately did not get away with it. In 2009 I left it late and did not have enough time to look for a gift for 14th of February and I had not think of anything to buy for my partner. In the end I ended up buying her silver necklaces , which made her pretty angry to be honest as I forgot I bought her silver bracelets a year before, so she definitely was expecting something different.

So this year I got her something different to surprise her. When she woke up on the 14th of February, she saw an envelope on her bedside table, which had a ticket for a romantic getaway to Venice. I was in the kitchen making some breakfast I heard her running down the stairs and to be honest I was pretty scared at first. Then she came running to me in the kitchen with a massive smile on her face. Then she glared at me with romantic eyes and gave me the biggest hug and kiss that I wasn’t expecting, she didn’t want to let go of me untill I said food is going to burn honey!. She was ecstatic and to be honest so was I. To see my wife happy makes me happy.

We had our lovely breakfast, then went upstairs to pack our bags for our romantic getaway. We had a fantastic time and she still has the same smile she did on the 14th, every day I see her.. We have our anniversary in August I might do something like this to surprise her again. So my advice to all the men is to do some research while buying a present as women do like surprises and gifts are very important to them.
